Enterprise Security by Default: Understanding Row Level Security (RLS)
Security is not an add-on—it is the foundation. Learn how Yobbler uses Row Level Security and strict data isolation to protect your Space.
When building an open market economy where software is exchanged between different Spaces, security and data isolation are the most critical components. At Yobbler, we never compromise on your data.
What is Row Level Security (RLS)?
Instead of relying on clunky application-layer security, our access control happens directly at the database level. RLS (Row Level Security) means that every single row in your database is cryptographically protected.
When a user, or a third-party module, makes a request to your Space, the database immediately evaluates who is asking and what permissions they hold. If they lack explicit authorization, the data simply does not exist to them.
Isolated Ecosystems
This means you can safely install modules built by other Spaces without worrying about data leaks. Modules only gain access to the exact data you approve, and every Space operates as a completely isolated, sovereign data environment.
